The difference between successful and failures.

One major factor between success and failure is the same as between efficient and the laggards. The time the failures take to change their path is much longer than those who succeed. This in other words success is another phrase for flexibility.
In businesses those who are flexible stand a better chance to succeed.
I was reading biography of Elon musk one of the important qualities he possesses is that he takes decisions fast enough and then puts all his might in implementing them.
Looks easy but it isn’t.
First, people could change path out of despair, flexibility doesn’t mean that one should abandon the plan as soon as the old one fails.
However, one should be ready to acknowledge quickly if the old plan does not fulfil the major criterions.
One of the criteria in the minds of most of the people who try is Return of Investment, but that is the least important one.
Thomas Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the lightbulb.
Coming back to Elon Musk, he didn’t go by the conventional wisdom.
Once my sister asked me, “Do you know anybody who has succeeded in the last two decades who was not from either IT or IT enabled industry?”
That time I knew only names like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zucker buck, Jeff Bezos all from It or ITES.
I thought they were lucky that they chose the right industry.
Then I came across one name which stood out, that was Elon Musk, founder of PayPal, Space X and Tesla. These are engineering companies manufacturing Rockets, Electric cars, Solar power plants, Tunnel boring. In a little over two decades, he has become one of the richest men in the world. I was reading his biography, how fast he changed his tracks and how fast he went ahead with his new plans is one great lesson one can learn from him.
He was in a way thrown out of PayPal, the business which he started.
He at a time was pioneering the idea of Hyper Loop, but because of certain reasons he left these and went ahead with other plans like Electric cars, Rockets, Tele communication, Solar Power, Boring Company, Open AI and Neuralink.
Life is too short, to keep wasting precious time in weighing pros and cons. If the analysis suggests that certain basic mistakes have been made in pursuing certain decisions, then old plans should be changed to try new plans.
