How to reduce weight?

I remember that I have been making conscious effort to reduce weight for the last two decades.
On the positive side I have been a regular walker, I have been going for swim on and off and on the negative side, I have often indulged in myself by partying and drinking on and off.
I must confess that in this period, contrary to the reduction my weight has gone up by a few kilos.
But I have not been overwhelmed by the issue, because over all my health has remained good.
Surprisingly none of my doctors during the last few years have ever spoken anything about my weight. One of the reasons could be that they did not find my weight to be abnormal.
I am not promoting any theory, yet I would like to share my latest finding, which has brought down my weight by 5 kilos during the last 3 months.
In simple words, I can say that “Intermittent fasting” which was suggested by a learned gastro doctors, it is not a fad, has worked for me.
Another important aspect in favour of “Intermittent fasting” is that, I have been able to introduce it in my routine easily. For me in nutshell it is, giving a break of 16 hours or longer between dinner and lunch (I take only two meals). In the morning I take a cup of tea. To my satisfaction I am allowed to eat what ever I like between lunch and dinner, therefore I take tea with some snacks at around 4 in the evening, it could be namkeen, cookie, slice of cake.
Each person’s physiology, likes, dislikes, habits are different, therefore different strategies work for different people. If anyone finds something worthwhile in my finding, he/she is welcome to pick up.
